Our history
A family connection to piano work
1983
Founded in Portsmouth, later establishing the Oxford business in 1995.
Roberts Pianos was founded by Marcus Roberts BA (Mus), MPTA, whose grandfather was also a piano tuner and restorer and whose parents were musicians and music teachers.
Marcus began tuning in 1980. From 1983 Roberts Pianos held the tuning contract for Portsmouth Guildhall and serviced concert pianos for visiting performers.
