We have many Steinway pianos in stock, this one is a Steinway model O 5’10” long. Why is this one better. This one is from 1904.
- Singability – the piano sings in the mid-treble area, important for the melody to sing through the arrangment of bass/chord and melody.
- A warm bass – the bass is rich, this emcompasses the fundamentals
- A slightly harder top 8v, so that it can have strength when playing octaves.
- Hammers – Renner or Able are our favourite hammers available

We have replaced the hammers and shanks. The piano was made in the best period of Steinway piano construction at the start of the 20th century. The action is fluid, it has a characteristic that is difficult to describe, but it has ‘it’.
